Look down, you god,
And on this couple drop a blessed crown!
For it is you that have chalk'd forth the way
Which brought us hither.

I figured it all out

okay here goes...Claires baby is either the anti-christ or the next coming of christ. The island is like the battle ground of good and evil(garden of eden) claire got pregnant and the psychic knows that the baby needs to be raised by claire in order to protect jesus or to prevent/save the baby from becoming the anti christ. God prevents the signing of the adoption no ink in the pens, then the plane crash. the plane seperates in mid air into sections everyone that we have come to know is the good there all important people that were put there to play a part in protecting and or raising the baby. the other half of the plane is still missing (Rose's husband) All of the crazy stuff that has been happening on the island is the devil putting his two cents in(the apple from the tree of knowledge) Well thats my theroy if i can remember anyother information to support it ill be back

I thought the baby might be the anti christ, but I dont believe it.

Re: I figured it all out

Maybe the baby won't be the anti-christ....but maybe the baby's soul is important...marked or something and kinda on the threshhold between good and evil? It could go either way but no matter what way it goes it will be very influential in that court....

...or I could just be talking in a pizza induced haze....

Re: I figured it all out

-I'm getting a little tired with Christians thinking that if there's an epic angle to any story it has to be rooted in the Bible. It may be of interest to the Christian theorists that the only instance of prayer so far on the island has been Muslim.

If Lost ends up being some Christian ultimate battle of good v. evil love vest, I would have saved a lot of time just listening to Fallwell.

Not a spoiler, it's a theory.

Aaaand... the theme of Good vs. Evil isn't exclusively Catholic/Christian, nor is it exclusively religious. Just sayin'.

I hope they have more sense than to turn this into The Seventh Seal for TV.

Yikes, why all this angst toward Christianity here? No one is slapping down Sayid for saying Muslim prayers, and yet not a cross necklace(see Scully on X-Files) or Bible in Sawyer's stash. By the way, it's Falwell.

Re: I figured it all out

The baby is not the anti-christ, the psyhcic would have read that instantly, he would not have kicked her out like that.
He acknowledged the pregnancy, then dugg deeper... then he was scared, I don't think the baby was special yet.
Only once on the island is it special.

Re: I figured it all out

When he was talking about seeing something blurry I was thinking he was seeing the monster. Meh who knows. Also if the psychic knew the plane was going to crash wouldn't he also have seen claire being kidnapped? Does that mean that ethan won't try to steal her baby? I mean if he sent her off to some deserted island so she would HAVE to raise the child, wouldn't it be sort of counter productive to send her off to an island where someone takes the kid, the very thing he wanted to prevent? Unless he sent her on a plane that he knew was going to crash but didnt know she would live. Or his real motive all along was to have ethan get the baby (or danielle or who ever ends up taking claire). Lost can't be gone for a month all these questions need answers damnit! lol

Hulagirl19

*sigh*

I so hope that Lost doesn't go religious. I don't have anything against any religion (I'm not saying good vs. evil is religious, either), I'm just saying that if Claire's baby is really Jesus or anti-Christ, I will STOP watching Lost.

Just an observation...the prospective (and rejected) adoptive father was named "Joseph" ....

Re: I figured it all out

I was thinking along the lines that the psyhcic saw the plane crash, and saw the birth of the baby on the island. In seeing the birth of the baby, the psyhcic saw that the only way that the stranded castaways would get off the island would be if someone/somehting happens to the baby. And that that's the sole way they'll get off the island.

Or possibly, the remaining people on the island, French lady and so on, do have some sort of disease and the baby carries the cure.
Any of that sound plausable?

Lol... it looks like someone has forgotten about 40 days and 40 nights on the island!

That is truely one of the dumbest things I've read on this board, period. I don't know ANY Christian who thinks "if there's an epic angle to any story, blah blah blah". Where did you pull that out of?

Heres a hint: move on.

Re: I figured it all out

I think if Thomas is the father of Jesus that we're all doomed.

ZoraJ1121

Maybe not...

Hmmm...I don't think so. I think if they were going to make it a religious show we would have seen (or at least heard) somebody do/say something about God/satan because otherwise it would be totally random...but that's just what I think.

not to mention, the theme song would be done by CREED...
