Look down, you god,
And on this couple drop a blessed crown!
For it is you that have chalk'd forth the way
Which brought us hither.

Bible references...

Anyone noticed any specific bible references. Since the flight number is 815, I looked up John 8:15 and found:

Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man

Any comments?

Welcome, ihendrix!

Look around and you'll find the mega theory index in which you can follow several threads on theories dealing with numbers, religous references, etc.

Re: Bible references...

what lead you to look up John? Why not any others?

Personally I don't think John 8:15 makes any sense in the context of the show

I believe he's referencing to a sort of purgatory theory. As in judging the wicked and whatnot.

Re: Bible references...

John as in John Locke...as in an obvious religous being..crippled..now not crippled.

well...

- references to Adam and Eve

- the concept of being a "Lost Soul"

- and now with the "others", especially tonight when Sayid talked about them as if it required "faith" to believe they exsisted, to believe in the unseen, that WE are not alone... he said, "if you believe her"

Re: well...

pincusion, your comment made me think not only of those cured by faith in the New Testament, but Saul's conversion on the road to Damascus. Locke has had a similar conversion, at least to the power of the island.

I didn't know that Jacks dad was Named Christian. The way those vines looked around charlies head when he lay dead looked errierly like the Crown of thorns.
