My theory is that there was never really a plane crash and they are not really stranded on an island, but it is really all just some kind of production, like a TV show.
They aren't really survivors, they are all just actors, pretending to be stuck on an island. And the people who supposedly died aren't really dead, they just pretended to die, and then they left the island so we would think they died. Even Jack's wound in the first episode was just fake blood.
Also, there are no monsters, and no bears, just fake special effect type things set up to seem real.
All the character's backstories that we have been show are also made up. The Korean couple aren't really married. Locke could always walk. Jack isn't really a doctor. Etc...

so your theory is that this is fiction and isn't reality TV? interesting.... I guess that would explain why a week passes for us but it seems like only a couple days pass for the show. I had thought this was all live TV but your theory might have some merit and these are really actors.
